Hangzhou West Lake Tai Chi & Qigong Academy

Located on the shores of Hangzhou's iconic West Lake, this academy teaches authentic Yang-style Tai Chi and medical Qigong to international students. The head instructor, Master Li, is a 19th-generation lineage holder of Yang-style Tai Chi who has taught international students for over 30 years. Classes take place outdoors by the lake at sunrise — joining the hundreds of local Hangzhou residents who practice daily. Programs range from 3-day introductions to 3-month intensive training. Medical Qigong classes are specifically designed for post-surgery recovery patients — gentle movements that improve circulation, reduce inflammation, and restore energy without stressing healing tissues. All sessions include English translation.
